France has a great choice of resorts for winter sports enthusiasts, especially snowboarders. Tignes, a classic Alpine resort, in the Val d'Isere region is one of the premiere snowboarding resorts. Last year, Observer Magazine named it the top snowboard resort in the world with its 300km of piste, half pipes, terrain parks and great off-piste boarding. Tignes is part of the expansive L'Espace Killy, meaning that enthusiasts will never run out of terrain.
Again in the Alps, Morzine, located in Les Portes de Soleil region, has great access to Avioriaz with its top quality snow parks, few drag lifts, trails for all ability levels and endless opportunities to board off-piste.
In the southern Alps Alpe d'Huez offers a more relaxed atmosphere, with off piste runs through gorgeous scenery and a ulta high quality snow park for freestyle boarders.
